Changing Doctors

    Wasn't sure where to post this: Family has been with the same Doctor for years. My brother has a medical card with this doctor, I haven't nor has my sister.

    I'm thinking of moving to a different practice as it's almost impossible to get an appointment there.

    Could I move on my own without any problems. TIA

    Yep just find another practice that is accepting medical card patients,sign a form and you'll be officially changed over a few weeks later.

    Eh? The OP says they don't have a medical card.

    OP, provided you are over 18 (I think that's the age), then absolutely you can move: Just find a GP practise that is accepting new private patients and register there.

    There is no reason why all family members should be registered in the same place, apart from the medical card rules.
