Beef Data Genomics & Calf Registering

I participate in the beef data scheme and have 23 reference cows. I have 26 cows this year all which have calves registered for them. I was late with registering one calf this year will this affect my payment under this scheme and will I be penalised even though I have more cows calved than my reference amount?

I think you will just be paid on your reference number. The problem that can arise is if you have LESS than the reference number. The few over can be considered as insurance!

I dunno but I was docked €50 for not marking a culling reason for a cow even though I had above the reference number of cattle.

Get penalised for late registration unfortunately. At least my cousin did anyway.

It was Dec 15th last year i think.

Tagged within 20 days and registered within 27 days of birth i think.
