Best pico projector for home cinema?

    Hey folks,

Hoping to tap into your collective wisdom...

I'm looking for a home projector for movies and tv. In an ideal world I'd like something that can project a 6ft wide image from 15ft away in a not-completely-dark room. I'm not fussy about picture quality, but all the same research tells me I'd need to spend a fair whack of cash to get exactly what I want and I just don't have the budget right now.

So instead I'm looking at pico projectors that will do the job in the short term and still be useful for work once I've saved up for some more serious gear.

The pico can sit 6ft - 8ft from the screen, but I still want a 5-6ft image. After much clicking around am considering the AAXA P3-X, but am open to suggestions... As mentioned, I'm not really bothered about having perfect picture quality - I just want something that'll do the job.

    Budget €300 max.

    Any tips?

    Cheers!

    Hey Geranium,
Did you have any luck in your search? Im thinking of a similar solution for own main bedroom, a small projector for the odd movie on the chimney breast - span of about 3 metres. Easy connection to mobile (Bluetooth or Chromecast) connectability ideally.
    Any recommendations?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rob

    Hey Rob,

I did! Went for the AAXA P3-X - very impressed with the little thing. Picture quality isn't amazing or anything and you have to mess about with the settings a bit, but for the money it's fantastic and I'd definitely recommend :)
