Leap Card fare refund?

The 5.17pm service from Little Island to Cork was cancelled on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, there were no notices indicating this at the Little Island station, so I tagged on and waited at the platform for the train. At about 5.25pm we were informed via the tannoy that the service was cancelled and a bus was 'on it's way' to take us instead, but no ETA could be given. At that point I called a friend to come pick me up.

My leap card was charged for the maximum stops (€4.90). Will I get a refund for this, and who should I contact?

Should tag off again when leaving in that circumstance ideally.
