I was pulled over today and asked to produce insurance papers. I have been to the local station since.

Have I anything to worry about?

Did you get a Pulse Reference# or receipt from the Garda in the station to prove you produced them on time? If you did and your insurance policy is in order then you should have nothing to worry about.

What's the difference between insurance papers and insurance disc?

An insurance disc is the piece of paper you display on the windshield which shows the insurance validity period, insurer, policy number and registration plate.

An insurance certificate (paper) lists all of the above plus who is insured to drive the car, registered address and many more details.
