Junior parkrun proposed for Hartstown - need help

I contacted parkrun Ireland to suggest setting up a junior parkrun in Hartstown Park. Junior parkrun is 2km and for children between 4 and 14. They are held on Sunday mornings at 9:30am.

We seem to be making good progress with Fingal County Council paperwork so the next step is to get some interested parents involved to be on the core team. Each member of the core team would have to be Garda vetted through Athletics Ireland (I am looking into this part) - regular volunteers do not need vetting.

Would anyone be interested in helping out?

Children under 11 must be accompanied to/from the event by a responsible adult, and the responsible adult must remain in attendance for the duration of the event so helping out would be easy. Or you can run with your child.

Have you mentioned it to any of the Hartstown parkrun team on Saturdays - am sure many of those runners would be happy to volunteer, especially if they are not giving up their run the previous day.
Could volunteer from time to time, possibly more in the beginning to get it started.

I am hoping that getting volunteers on the day won't be too hard as many adults will be there with their children anyway. Some may run/walk with their children but some, fingers crossed, will be willing to marshal or volunteer for another task.

If you are interested can you please message parkrun Hartstown on Facebook with your name, email, mobile - they're collecting names to get it started.
