TP Link Powerline Extender problem

I have this set up and working fine with two computers connected to the two Ethernet ports on the extender.
I now want to add a third computer and a back up drive.
I have tried using a Edimax5 port ethernet switch using one of the extender ports.

It disables the second extender port.

The Powerline adaptor is wired into a Sky router..
    Any suggestions please?
    Thanks as always

I would of thought the extender would suppose auto dmix, try a cross over cable betweenness switch and the extender.
