QCA while studying abroad

    Hey guys,
There's a chance I will be getting an opportunity to study at the University of Texas next yer as part of my degree. Im just wondering if past students can comment on how the QCA transfers once you come back from study abroad. Im currently on a 3.2 QCA and Ive noticed for some of the courses in University of Texas (maybe all of them) that a 60% for them is a C which is there 2.0. When our 2.0 is like 40%. University of Texas is a top college in america and Ive heard its extremely hard. I dont want to be struggling with barely getting a 2.0/2.5 over there and ruining my QCA for when I get back. Can anybody with past experience comment how that works?  Cheers

Is it a built in part of your course? Perhaps Study Abroad is different to Erasmus is different in this sense so I would say just go and ask the international office. But when I did Erasmus, our Erasmus grades had absolutely no bearing on our QCA back home... they were considered pass/fail, you literally just had to pass (and even when people failed I think they were able to make up for it by writing essays etc back in UL). The only time it mattered for QCA was when people decided to stay on an extra semester outside of what was built into their degree.

Its not built into my course, so it was a bit different for me having to chose from other course universities. But yeah I did a bit of research and the majority seem to be pass/fail for studying abroad. Ill make sure to talk with the international office first though, cheers for the help.
