Hi,

Need to clear the shed, want to gauge interest here for a Surly Crosscheck.

Has been used as commuter for couple years, currently set up with flat bars and 1x10 groupset (shimano xt)

Asking price 400euro

I'm sure that, that someone could easily convert it to drop bars

or if interested maybe could sell it without bars, and shifters, and throw on some drop bars for you. Don't have brifters though.

I have the matching rear mudguard to go with it.

I was running the rear with a 9 speed cassette, the shifter and mech is 10 speed. Shifting is fine. You could upgrade to a 10 speed cassette.

Schwalbe marathon supreme rear tyre, schwalbe marathon mondial front. Avid brakes. All cables in good condition. New bottom bracket.

Bike was dry stored past year and half.

Overall its a solid workhorse, only reason for selling is it's a little big for me.

About 3 years old. What do you mean by what chainring? Size or make or? I think there's a 38t one on at the moment. Will double check in the evening.

Yeah, sorry, teeth is what I meant. Definitely interested, subject to sizing it, but it'll be probably be next week before I can seriously make an offer/ or get a look at it!

Can't stretch beyond what you've already turned down at the moment, as although I like the 1x set up (and would stick with it), I'd be looking at changing it to drops, so shiftmates/ brifters on top to make it work. Weekend away with the lads coming up - may be back on next week if it's less expensive than it's potential though!
