Facebook news feeds

    I'm ready to lose my mind with Facebook news feeds. When I select most recent - it shows me maybe 5 most recent posts, then it starts skipping to 4 hours ago, 5 hours ago, and so on. I know there are way more posts which should be showing on this feed but aren't. When I set my news feed to Top Stories it shows me an awful lot more posts. When I switch between the feeds, I know that the most Recent one is omitting posts that I can see on Top Stories feed. This is happening on both the app and desktop version.
    I'm just getting a bit fed up of not seeing what I want to see on facebook.
