How to set up a motor trader from home?

    Hi everyone new to boards.ie
    I'm working as a mechanic for Volkswagen in England at the minute but planing on moving back to Ireland in December time.as IV been in the trade over here IV built up alot of good connection and am able to buy cars quite cheap,IV now got a supplier of cars and also got a buyer back in Ireland who's interested,and also a way of transporting a the cars back to Ireland sofar IV sold 3 cars and made quite a good profit of 3k.now I want to get set up properly and start trading and eventually go full time.iv got the mechanical skills to fix them and the connection so what else do I need to set up legally and how do I go about it?
    Any feedback would be great.

    Not sure but reading SIMI website would probably be a good start. Hopefully there will be some info about general rules and regulations

    Maybe someone has more insight

    To register as a legitimate trader you must have a rate paying premises afaik which keeps most of the small get out.

    IV got access to a shop unit that my parents own in our town, would I be able to register for there or dose it have to a unit with car ramp in it etc etc or can I trade from home?
