    Any recommendations??

Are the young fellas still doing the Hitler Youth thing? You could try that?

Goes with just about anything. It's a decent haircut...

it's just the crappy clothes and dodgy attitude that gives the wrong impression.

I'd suggest just asking the barber to do something different.

Something different is not following the template from literally thousands of Chung fellas out there.

On a recent trip to the barber's she asked me if I wanted one of those lines as they were "in fashion"

    I politely declined.

Yer very lucky to have hair that actually gives you options! Mine just grows and does whatever the hell it wants. Keep it as short as possible all the time is as much as I can do!

Short back and sides, and long on the top (fringe). That way whatever way it decides to go, it'll still look relatively trendy.. throw in a reasonably trimmed beard, and it works out well.

At least, that what I've been telling myself. :D

I've heard about barbers offering a beer while you get your hair cut but they are now offering drugs...whats the world coming to eh!?:D

Speaking of hairstyles, what would folks suggest for someone tall with receding hairline and a thinning crown!!

Im not at the eternal bachelor stage yet but want to do something before I end up with hair curtains or a comb-over!!

Jesus any time I hear people (only ever heard it in here mind) comment on the "Hitler Youth" haircut I imagine a bitter baldy at those with a fine head of hair

This comes from someone who needs to head shave as a necessity too :)

Seriously that haircut has been around since pre World War 1 at least if not earlier

My mop appears to be getting thicker with each passing year, if anything...

Here's what I do, srs not trolling:

I go to an expensive salon where there's a gay lad who cuts hair. Tell him you want to change up your hairstyle and what does he recommend. Gay lad being key as most women I have found have a biased and generally sh*t taste in men's hair and him being gay he'll honestly tell you what'll look good on you. I've tried it with women too and they just seem to say something like "well xyz is very popular now". I've been going to the same lad once every six months or so with a while as he knows his craft well...honestly far too good to be working for someone else and not for his own coin.

Anyway tell him you want to try a new haircut and ask him what haircut would suit you. He'll recommend a few based on your head shape/hairline/hair type and once you're happy (consult google images on the phone etc.), let him cut it. After that I wait like a week and then go into my regular hairdresser and get them to touch up the tiny week's worth of growth and then get the expensive cut done for regular until I want to change it up again.
