Whats the procedure for getting my 87 camper reclassified for vintage tax.

Is it a straight forward form filling exercise, or will i be met with

the " rabbit in the headlamps blank stare" approach in the tax office.

Or can i do it online now that the motortax site has a had a bit of a

    facelift.

    Thanks

Go to your local motor tax office to make the change.

    Can it be done online?

I did my 87 camper this year and got the classic tax rate, however the tax class seems to have stayed the same and I'm guessing that's because of the CVRT position. Waiting to see what rate it comes up with next year......

When you go to tax it, use form RF111 'change of particulars' , write 'Vintage & Veteran' in section 4.

It's never been automatic for me. Got a tax renewal the other day for one of my 70's projects that's off the road and it's still on the CC tax rate. (And apparently my NCT was due in 1974!)

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

It sure wasn't automatic for my 1986 2.2L LeBaron last year. I received a tax form for the old rates and would have had to go to the tax office to reclassify it.
