Almond, Cashew...all ranges 6 euro. Supervalu Kimmage. Best before date Feb2018 on Cashew, not sure about others.

Just on right as you go in front entrance beside bread.

Churchtown only had peanut butter for 6, the cashew one there was still full price (24.99)

Fantastic price on the peanut butter range though, they are 10.50 in Tesco and 9.85 in Nourish

Definitely a great price for these but just so people know 1kg tubs of peanut butter can be got year round on My protein or Bulk Powders for similar price. These is always 30-40% off the marked price. No difference in taste as they are all 100% peanuts, and peanuts are peanuts no matter how much you pay for them.

Anyone care to describe the taste of this peanut butter over others like Kielkin etc?

I know it's only a few euro but i don't want to throw out good food just because i don't like it.

Meridian nut butters are top quality!

All natural, no additives, sugar, salt, etc. Just mashed peanuts.

Others like which exactly? To be honest I don't know if I have ever had two peanut butters which taste the same. As mentioned above, there is nothing added to this, so the lack of salt, and or sugar, and or other stuff may take a while to get used to, but is much nice (IMHO)

I've been using Meridian for a while now in my morning shakes, but got a kg tub of plain peanut butter from a local health store which was "home-made" or "own brand" or whatever you'd call it.

Both are just plain peanut butter with no additives - but the Meridian one was FAR nicer! I have no idea why, maybe they use a better class of peanut or something - but there was definitely a difference, and I've gone back to paying the little bit more for the Meridian one now!

Thanks for the bargain tip though, that'll make up for it :)

Has anyone found the cashew butter included in the 6euro offer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 654 ✭✭✭Space Dog

No cashew butter reduced in the two Supervalus that I checked.

I wouldn't buy any other brand anymore either. Tried a few and nothing tastes as good as Meridian IMO.

As somebody suggested before Bulk Powders do cashew butter and I can't tell their almond butter apart from Meridian - I really think it might be made by them and just rebranded. They even do coconut peanut butter which meridian do too, so it's quite the coincidence! ;)

https://www.bulkpowders.ie/cashew-butter.html - 35% off code at the moment (and the codes are very regular so you should never pay full price - always at least 20% off)
