Didn't want to hijack the other thread to ask this but just wondering is this a good time of year to buy a new car?
Are there any better bargains to be had buying a car which will only have a new plate for a couple of months?
Are sales people under pressure to get sales before the end of the year and does this mean they might be prepared to haggle a bit more?
I'm thinking of buying a new car but if there wasn't any incentive I could easily wait and get one in the new year ..

Depends, what age and type of car are you trading in?

Budget may have a scrappage deal but them the 181 deals are about to kick off so yes there are always deals. Wait two weeks and then with the budget out of the way the dealers will have their 181 deals floating around.

Depends how long you plan to keep it, if your only keeping the car a few years then in 3 months time it will be a year old. If your keeping it donkey years then it doesn't matter so much.

As for best deals, I'd imagine if your buying from stock rather than ordering from the factory then there might be scope for extra bargaining. Sales targets are also a factor, usually the end of quarter is good time to push for a better deal again if you're buying a car already in stock. Also depends on the model your buying and how much demand there is for it.
