    Hi all,

I have the free (20-page pdf) version of the 2018 astronomy calendar uploaded now - 850Kb download from http://bit.ly/2ygndI1

The Irish Federation of Astronomical Societies produce the calendar each year and the printed version contain will contain images showcasing astrophotography by observers who contribute to various Irish astronomy forums and Facebook sites.

Profit from sales of the printed version is used by IFAS to promote astronomy (we bought 1,500 eclipse shades and distributed them free for the 2015 solar eclipse from money raised before).

You can read more about the calendar and a request for photos on the IFAS site home page at https://www.irishastronomy.org/

All contributors whose images are used will receive a free copy of the printed calendar. There's a terrific amount of wonderful astrophotography being done in Ireland and the calendar is a great way to showcase this work.

    Many thanks,

    John

You're on the ball this year lads! Any sign of the pics for each month?

We're finalising the pictures at the moment, deciding what month to allocate each photo to etc.

Doesn't matter for space pics, unless you've got a telescope in the snow or the like, bish bash bosh, job done, let's see them. Nice pics + all the important dates named like the way brown trout do theres and I'm ordering at least 4 calendars.

    Hi all,

An updated version of the 2018 calendar (without the photos) is at http://bit.ly/2ygndI1

The sample with all the images and pages is at http://bit.ly/2zuDYjc

I'm going to send the final version to Michael now so we can start getting the calendars printed up. Orders can be submitted via the IFAS site www.irishastronomy.org

    Enjoy!

    John

(sorry for the late reply to the thread as astronomy has been nearly full-time for me the last couple of weeks - and now I'm off for a week with a slipped disc!)
