If you're in HerdPlus you can see how they killed out in the factory but not who bought them, right?

    Yeah, thats it.

Sometimes when im collecting the printed sellers sheet in the mart office ive asked who bought the animals and theyve always told me. Its hardly a state secret.

I know what your saying but things are changing when it comes to personal data. Maybe the mart board should show the buyers name as well as the sellers details!!

    I'm being devils advocate.
Food traceability is the remit of the Dept of Agri and HSA. All herd owners have/suppose to apply the rules and regulations as set out by the Dept and the Dept are one of the the legal entities with the responsibility to ensure we adhere to them.
IMO your interest in knowing the name of the farmer who bought your cattle at a public sale has nothing to do with food traceability.

Ya, often asked the auctioneer who bought them in case it was someone local to give a bit of luck and he always told me.

Sometimes you can hear the auctioneer tell his assistant who bought them. Even from across the ring.

Tullamore mart gave me a list of all the buyers at my clearance sale without being asked so they have no problem doing it
