    Hi,

Anyone order a lot of stuff to know how to save money?

    Q1
If I order multiple different items and they fit in one container via parcel motel will it be one delivery fee?

    Q2
If its oversized for Parcel Motel am I generally better off getting it delivered directly to Dublin

    Q3
Payment Currency - Euro or GB Sterling? What best?

    Thanks

Best to check with your card provider before deciding on paying Sterling or paying Euros. Their conversion rate may not tally with XE, and likely will be more expensive. It's also worth considering that a card provider may not charge you there and then. What this means is you'll have a pending payment and the conversion will happen when the transaction is finalised, and by the time the transaction is finalised the Euro may have weakened against the Pound and you might find yourself paying slightly more than the price in Euros you could have paid direct to Amazon at the time of buying.

Paying in £s is cheaper sometimes. But it comes with a disadvantage: If you ever return your stuff to Amazon, they'll refund you in £s and if the £ has crashed (as it has recently) you'll receive less of a refund when it arrives in your € bank account.

So, when I buy something I know has a good chance of failure (e.g HDDs, cheap motherboards, food in glass containers, seller items) I always go with € on the check-out - that way I can be sure I'll get the same amount refunded should I need to return it.

good if the OP was asking about ATMs abroad.

I have taken note of many amazon rates over the years and have always been better off paying in sterling. In recent year the difference has become a lot less, i.e. amazon.co.uk s rate was a lot better.

Nobody gets the XE rate, you can check mastercard/visa for active current rates, some calculators let you put in the bank charges too.

I always check both - only takes a few seconds on Amazon.
