Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

FYP presentation question

I'm a student doing computer systems and have my fyp presentation in couple of weeks. My question is how many students are in attendance for the presentation? I'm asking this because I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to public speaking, especially in front of classmates.

    Hiya,

Noticed you didn't get any replies on this, and maybe it's too late now but I'll just given an answer in case anyone come across the thread in the future.

For CSIS FYP presentations (which usually take place during the Open Days of Semester 1) where you present an outline of your FYP, your plan and your work so far, there are normally about 5-6 other students in your session, along with about 3 supervisors (one of which will be your own).

My advice is to try and not stress about them too much. Meet with your supervisor a day or two beforehand, and if he/she is happy with your work to date, you'll be fine. Even if the other supervisors raise concerns during it, remember that you still have loads of time. Just take on board what they're saying and discuss it afterward with your supervisor to see if you need to change some aspects of your project.

Assuming you'll be having yours tomorrow or Friday, so best of luck!
