Where to find maps for connection application?

Where can the required maps be found (boundary outlined in red (scale 1:2500)   and  A layout map (scale 1:500))  for connection application of existing dwelling?

We cannot find them on the Cork County Council site and are not sure where the correct maps acceptable by Irish Water are to be found? We have found maps on landdirect.ie of the correct scale but they are not in the same format as the sample maps, are they acceptable? I understand most new connections notices are for new developments but ours is for an existing dwelling and no planning required.

    Thank you

    Luke

    Hi Mairead,

Thanks for your reply. OK. I will go to the Cork county planning office and try and  try to buy the map that is reccommended.

You don't really answer the question though. My question isnt which is reccommended. My question is if it is REQUIRED that we MUST use this map.. or is one obtained online for free on landdirect sufficient. One that can be obtained immediately for free is obviously preferable to one that costs money and must be obtained in person at an office that may be some distance away. Would  a landdirect map of the correct scale be acceptable or not? All I want is an approx quote for connecting an existing house to the mains sewer with a minimum of fuss.

    Thanks

    Luke

    Hi Micheal,

I have just called my local authority planning department and they do not have a current map of this location.

They advised me that the "layout map" and "location map" that Irish Water are requesting are the normal maps that are submitted as part of the planning process... however this is an old house where no planning maps were created as the planning system did not exist when this house was built.

The irish water system seems to presume that there is a planning application map. What next? Can i use the landdirect map?

    Thanks,

    Luke
