    hi folks.
    just looking for some advice.
i recently was giving £155 in old irish punts.
    there are 2 × £50
    1 × £20
    2 × £10
    and 3 × 5
dates are as follows starting with the £50s
    2001 and 1999
    £20=1999
    £10=1997 and 1999
    £5=1983 + 1999 and 1999
i was told the £50 might be worth something.
    any help is welcome....

They would only be worth serious money if they are in mint condition and rare. Protect them as much as possible and don't handle them directly.

The £5=1983 might have some interest.

Talk to collectibles shops or go along to a coin fair.

OP, in case you're not aware of the fact, any of those notes which are of no interest to collectors can be cashed in for Euros at the Central Bank.

It appears they no longer do an 'over the counter' exchange, that's probably since they moved head office to the North Wall.....
