Problems with Minecraft

Hopefully this is the right place for this.

Since last night Minecraft PE on iOS won’t load if it’s connected to my vodafone broadband.

The splash screen comes up and then the screen remains white. I’m 99.999% sure this is not a problem with minecraft or iOS, but rather my broadband. For some reason all of a sudden it’s being blocked.

It’s happening on two iPads, and two iPhones. All was fine until last night. If I turn the wifi off on the iPad, Minecraft loads just fine and plays offline. Or I can play online using 3G on my phone, or tethering my iPad to my phone.

I restarted my router, reinstalled minecraft but no use. I contacted vodafone but they are no help. Their response was to lower my profile, as usual. Then told me to give it a couple of hours and it should work.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Okay. So I changed the dns to Google’s and it worked again.

Should I be using Google’s dns? Any advantage to it over Vodafone’s? Besides minecraft from working.
