If you feel like singing, do sing an Irish song.

Once they dropped Laurence John and his softly softly format, Q really had a knack of cutting savage promo's.

I just spent about 40 mins looking at the Gerry Ryan Late Late tribute (I'm vicariously pregnant, hormones all over the place: I cried)

I can't find nor do I remember the Gerry Ryan Show jingle. Nothing online.

Anyone know it? Or can anyone do some passable textual impression?

Gerry Ryan on his 'Ryan Line' talk show never really had a jingle/theme tune.

But his lights out music show 10 pm to midnight show before that did have this 80s song played at the start:

    Peter Wolf 'Lights out'

not a musical jingle but heard a good one recently - lead in to the rush hour traffic news they played the line from the end of the Forest Gump running scene "I thank i'm gonna go home now"

Another i remember was one on RTE years ago maybe Simon Young or early Ian Dempsey where they played this manic screaming voice "WHAT. TIME. IS. IT!" and then the DJ would segue into the news on the half hour or whatever.

Yeah that was Simon Young on weekend breakfast. He had some good jingles.

Another one I liked was Ray Foley’s when he was on afternoons on Today Fm. Very slick catchy set of jingles that he played incessantly.

Use to love 'We're Just The Dogs" for FM104. Now stations are all "best music mix" and "hit music station"

Also loved the Chris Moyles jingles

    So catchy

    "The Ryan Line is open"

Is how he started each show and that's what's on the his memorial plague in Montrose.

2 minutes into this... only Gerry Ryan sung jingle I've heard, although I don't remember hearing it much on air.

The state of the cement job. Who the heck installed that?

Looks like a transition year project in a school for the visually impaired.

It looks a bit rough alright. All the article says is It was created by an "artist", who I won't name in case he didn't install it.

i remember simon young went over to dallas to oversee this package of jingles being produced with john clarke.

dont think g ryans jingle was ever used. simon young played it once at the handover of his own dance show and lorcan murray's show one saturday night in 1990 for the laugh. probably the joke was that it would never be used on gerry's show. maybe gerry didn't like it??
