    It will be in a few pilot schools with an exam in 2020.

    Can't see a teaching salary attracting IT professionals enough to do a teaching qualification on top of their IT qualification, so it will be interesting to see who teaches it, not to mention having to equip rooms all over the country to a reasonable standard.

    A route for existing qualified teachers who might want an additional subject / to change subjects to gain an appropriate IT qualification might be a more workable solution tbh.

    That's probably what they will do, but they would want to be announcing courses soon, so that people can get organised. They seem to be trying to fast-track this one into full availability.
