    Cannot find this on youtube anywhere? Surely it has to be there somewhere? Anyone else have a link or anything?
    The most exhilarating run I have ever seen in Cheltenham. Make a mockery of WPM/RR not running him in GC.
    I'd say they regret it to this day.
    Such an amazing horse.

    Surely this race has to be on youtube somwhere....????

    Yep, agreed. Shed a tear the day it died.
    When it won the ryanair, i was delighted as i had it backed, and given the demolition job it had just done on serious horses, i was priviliged to see it.
    But...
    I was livid with RR/WPM for not giving it its go in the GC, I firmly believe, in March on spring ground, it would have demolished the GC field and I reckon WPM knows now that was his chance at a GC

    I love that commentary when he says "he lets out and inch of reign and he grabs it" And literally flies around that bend.

    Vautour is a great watch as he clearly cant wait for the next fence and just loves the game. Brutal he never got a shot to silence the doubters over the Gold Cup trip.

    That Ryanair was just poetry
    the way he went away from R2R with 2 left to jump, R2R was breaking its arse to stay with him, then Vautour just says "G'luck" and off he foes, ON THE BRIDLE and buries him
    So much so that VL actually caught R2R for a finish he was wrecked
    I have no doubt atall Vautour would have gone the extra mile
    Think back to the KG in pissing rain and winter ground and the race he ran, just to be collared by one of the best winter chasers in living memory in Cue Card
    If he had cleared that last fence he would have had that too

    Some fantastic tribute vides on Youtube to him
    I remember ATR the day he died, it was a channel in mourning. Rich Ricci was on "On the line" with Chapman
    It was all so desperately sad
