Is there much truth to "PizzaGate" involving political elites in Washington D.C.?

    I first saw the story of PizzaGate around last year when a gunmen came into a Washington D.C. pizza shop Comet Ping Pong and tried to 'rescue' the trapped children inside.

    Although CNN and BBC World News did "debunk" it, I still did and do search up some YouTube videos on what exactly the conspiracy is and it reminds me of the elite pedophile rings that were mentioned by David Icke and Alex Jones many years before.

    Even though I'm not an investigator, I try and look at both sides (videos, articles). I honestly don't know what to believe. There are definitely many outrageous allegations and flaws with the PizzaGate conspiracy but at the same time, there are details given which the mainstream media, forums and websites dismiss that just seem "too coincidental".

    Can you give some examples?

    Last time this was claimed here the most convincing stuff people could find were a very deliberate and dishonest misreading of someone's instagram and someone's interpretation of a single line from a puff piece article that lead them to conclude that prominent political figures hung child porn up in their house and openly showed it to reporters.

    What I find most interesting is that conspiracy theorist are so willing to jump on it as evidence against a particular set of politicians. Yet the idea that the whole thing might have been made/stirred up/promoted by people like Alex Jones to sway the election or make a fast buck...
    Nah... too wacky.

    Maybe this man could shed some light on the issue.

    If there is even a small chance this is happening it should be followed up and closed. I am sure the world can be darker then the main stream media let on.

    What info is here?

    It's a video espousing the classic paranoid world view that everything is controlled by a nefarious entity (typically the US government, Jews, Rothschilds, Illuminati, NWO, etc) - and that people who can "see through this" are "waking up" and "seeing the real truth"

    Pizzagate was shown to be an absolutely fake story. One of Trump's aides who tweeted about it was fired.

    Doesn't make the real life effects of people taking this thing seriously...a gunman almost shot up the pizza parlor last year.

    I even remember a couple of years back in 2013, the Syrian Electronic Army hacked the AP and claimed that Obama was injured in an explosion. Stocks fell.

    I read it, Zerohedge is a (financial) conspiracy site. Tyler Durden is a vehement anti-Clinton blogger.

    Will wait for fact based stories rather than editorials with preset narratives

    Only marginally better, but the DailyFail ran this story also, mentioned Spacey took a lift in it too.

    I never made any such claim.

    I merely find the story to be interesting. Especially given the litany of sex abuse allegations against Clinton.

    I'm not shifting the goalposts.
    The entire conspiracy is based around that idea. That's the reason it's called "Pizzagate" in the first place.
    It's the exact claim being made in the OP of this thread.

    So can we take it that you don't agree with that claim of the conspiracy?
