I know it has been covered more than once but I would love a bit of guidance from some boardies!!!
Looking for a used tractor, 4wd, with loader, 90/100 hp approx, definitely under 25k, for general farmwork, bale lifting/feeding....

I'm considering ford 7740 sldp also (hard to get)
    A nh ts/tl 90, or a massey Ferguson 4255...
I'm leaning towards MF.... What do ye think????

MF 4200/4300 series are good machines and they hold their value very well. Make sure you get one with the "snoopy" bonnet if you are doing loader work.

NH TL are also great machines, and also hold their value well.
I always thought the cabs on the 4200 series were nicer than that the TL but thats a personal preference.

Tom would not consider that tractor cheap by the time vat is added, exchange rate and Irish registeration she be at over 28K euro.

At present in NI tractor prices have climbed to near Irish prices. Loads of NO and UK tractors sitting in dealers down south. Look at DD the lads are readvertizing them every 5-10 days. I be incljned to hold until the new year
OP another tractor would be a Zetor 8441 you get a nice clean 3-4k hour one mid noughties for that money .

    Slava Ukrainii

I would not be up to speed on prices but might think she is 6 cylinder and another advantage is the quicke loader but she is shoving 14 years!!!!

Get something with a power shuttle anyway would be my suggestion. I got a fairly clean 02 ts115 with a mailleux loader earlier in the year and 25k straight would have bought it with no trade in. 100hp 4 cylinder tractors seemed to be making a nice bit more when I was looking and the extra weight is no harm with a loader.

Have a Case CX-90 here and I think its a better tractor than a MF 4245 that I drive a good bit on a farm I do a bit of work on. Cheaper too.

Will you be doing many hours with it? Nice few trade tractors with +7000 hours that a man doing 1000 hours a year wouldnt buy but could be a very good reasonable tractor for a man doing less than 500 hours a year .... we have a massey 5445 with 9000 hours doing about 1000 hours a year hasnt gave much bother ... hours wouldnt put me off if i wasnt doing alot every year... youd buy a 5455 with power shuttle and loader for less than 25k with 7000 hours

I need to get a tractor with loader. Thinking of a New Holland 7740. Need to get to bank. There isn't too many on DoneDeal. Lovely sweet tractor. Only going to have 1.

My pick from them all as a stockman machine would be the tl90 or tl100 of the newer tla. Ultra reliable, economical, great lift capacity, cheap parts & servicing costs and plenty of poke per kg.
