Peugeot 206 2003 84K miles - failed NCT, not fixing it

    I have a 2003 Peugeot 206 with only 84,000 miles it failed it's NCT.Needs a Petrol Tank,1 Tyre,2 CV boots ,some sort of bolt on one of the wheels,1 light needs to be focused,Battery needs to be secured.I am not going to get it fixed.Wondering how to get some money back on it.Not selling to scrap yard for €50 it also has a full body kit .Colour Red

    Well it's not going back on the road so the only way to make some money on it would be to break it yourself. A nightmare.

    That said you'll end up with a carcass that will have to go on a flatbed to a Scrappy anyway which won't then be cheap.

    Sell it to the Scrappy for the €50, if you value your time and sanity.

    You'd get all those parts in a breakers and new CV boots online for I'd say around 100 total. Get it through the NCT and you should get around 600 for it.

    Failing that it's 50 from the scrappers. You may get a few quid for the body kit if you strip it off first but I wouldn't hold my breath. Was a popular look in 2003, now not so much.

    Not DIY. moved to main forum.

    Ask around a few local mechanics for quotes and see if you think it's worth it.
    You won't get any real money for the car in the state it is now.
