Clearance for a stove

    Hi,

Quick query - I purchased a gas stove for a house with a small opening - I got a thin stove as the ope is only 580mm across.

Looking at the installation guide - it recommends a gap of 150mm either side - however the stove is 460mm across, so I'll have max 60mm either side to firebird unfortunately.

Could a large opening above the stove compensate? i.e. if there is a 600mm gap above the stove could this compensate for there being only 60mm at the sides?

I have exactly this situation, as the attached picture details.

    Grateful for any thoughts.
