    Hello fellow motorers,

I have a 2006 Ford Fiesta - Zetec model. Have been blessed with it since buying it in 2008. It hasn't cost me a penny, fully nct'd and barely 55k km on it as I live in city centre and prefer to cycle over driving.

But I need to get adult and a new car falls within that to do list. Any suggestions?! Should I go for scrapppage or try to sell privately? I'm hopeless when it comes to cars & find the whole having to sell and buy very daunting. I'm trying to educate and inform myself so I won't arrive to a dealership and take whatever they offer me.

Thanks all in advance for reading this. Any insight or considerations would be most welcome!

Sounds to me like you don't need a new car at all. If you just want a new car then that's fair enough but it sounds like the Fiesta will continue to do for a few more years what a brand new car will do for you too.
