Can't concentrate - multiple thoughts bringing me down

    Hi all,

I need some advice. It feels like the whole world is against me, no matter what I try to do. I just can't concentrate in anything. I'm always distracted by current problems/circumstances that keep popping into my head when I'm trying to work on something, study or be productive. I just can't seem to dedicate my concentration to one thing and I just can't seem to move up in life. I'm finding it quite hard to find a job, I don't have a lot of friends and I hate my family for some reason.

How do I keep a positive attitude and strive on? How do I calm my mind and take it one step at a time?

have you spoken to your gp? if you haven't it might be the best place to start.

no one can deal with all lifes issues on their own so some support is necessary.

if you're currently jobsearching, is your cv up-to-date? have you anyone who could check it over. it's always good to get an independent view on things like that. try to get plenty of fresh air and exercise, and especially when thoughts come crowding in, then it's a good time to head out. if you have music or books on your phone/ipod, plug it in and let your mind relax.

    good luck

Thanks for your reply. I haven't spoken to my GP, I'll need to do that and my cv has been up to date, I guess its just down to me trying my best. I will try your suggestions and hopefully things will improve.

Thanks again for the reply, It's definitely got me at a better state from where I was before.

    Hey,

I struggled all of my childhood with ADHD, and it got worse later in years through addiction. Meditation is my lifeline now for a number of years, it dramatically slows down my thoughts which enables me to take my time doing everything, one task at a time. Great organisation called Rigpa www.ripga.ie have excellent resources on their website for beginners. “It’s your mind that creates your world “. Buddha
