Fibromyalgia Blood Test, FM/a.

    Hi all,

    Over a year ago i started having all kinds of pain and stiffness all over my body. The usual story, went to my doctor, loads of tests, bloods, mri scans etc. All showed up fine.

    Over the last year it has had good times and bad times. But never completely went away. The last month is up there with the worst. Unreal painfull tender points all over. Constantly so tired even after a 10 hour sleep. Bad stiffness all over my bidy etc etc....

    Iv been to a few specialists and done the low dose antidepressants etc but nothing has helped.

    I recently came across a blood test in the states that tests for fibromyalgia. It has been approved and recognised all across the states but it also has it critics. The test is called FM/a. Here is the website for it,

    They are now testing people from all over the world and i have been in contact with them about getting the test done. They send a kit to my doctor, he takes the sample and its overnighted via fed ex to there lab in the states. Results within a week.

    I know it wont cure me but id love to have something solid, a concert diagnosis.

    So basically im asking if anyone has had the test done, and there opinions on it?

    By the way it costs close to $1,000 to have it done!
