NCT hypothetical

    Purely because of nothing better to do on a Saturday night I'm asking this hypothetical question..
    Say I fail my NCT on a visual defect..say blown bulb..Passes on absolutely everything else.
    I go away get bulb fitted and go back to test centre for the visual inspection..eexcept on the way there the exhaust pipe falls off the back of the car and both wing mirrors just drop off and to add good measure a massive crack appears on my windscreen.
    However I still manage to drive to the centre and my bulb is working perfectly now..
    What course of action do the testers have if any??

    I'd say the car passed nct on everything bar the bulb so as long as car is brought back within the 28days and is reasonably respectful looking youd be good but who knows.

    Call them out to look at the light, don't start the car =passed, get exhaust fixed.....
    But do get the exhaust fixed

    They used not be allowed to fail on things missed in the first test. But I think that may have changed. Can't find it in print anywhere online.

    But as above. if its broke fix it.
