High amenity zoning Fingal Co. Co.

    Hi,

I'm interested in buying a site in Fingal Co. Co. for the purposes of building my own house. The site is zoned high amenity and I am unsure whether I could get planning for a house on the site.

From my initial reading of the Fingal Co. Co. development plan, HA zoning restricts people other than those involved with the family farm or those with exceptional health circumstances from gaining permission to build a house in such areas. I'm from the area and specifically from a rural area but not a farming background.

Could anyone with a better understanding of the planning regs tell me if I have interpreted these correctly?

    Many thanks.
