    I've always seen it on here so much.. It has nothing to do with where people are from.

    All around the world, news of someone getting ahead is effectively ignored by all by all but family. Deal with it.

    I think begrudging is not ignoring someone doing well....but disliking them for doing so



    Seems to be predominantly a thing amoung older people 35+....though whether it's uniquely irish....I'm not so sure

    its not uniquely irish, but it is more prevalent over here....after all we are the inheritors of a peasant mentality lets not forget so its only natural its in our DNA...but thankfully since the celtic tiger its dieing off, i think
