Nightmare fellow tenant

Hi all, I am one of three tenants who are experiencing a total nightmare living with someone who lives in a separate flat attached to the house. He took great offence when pulled up about a mistake that was in fact his responsibility, and ever since has been sending abusive emails, making false accusations, creating trouble over the limited parking that we have even though he does not own a car, he has refused to contribute to the heating oil (we have been without heat for months because of his objections), he has accused us of stealing his post, he has been bullying me in particular because I know the landlord and landlady personally (they are siblings who co-won the property), to mention but a few things. Basically he has crossed many lines, not just towards us tenants but he has also been very openly offensive to his own landlords! They have issued him with a completely fair and above board Notice of Termination and notarised Statutory Declaration, as his sister (and legal owner of the flat) wishes to move back. But he disputed the Notice and won the hearing by actually telling lies at the hearing! They now have to appeal. He has already cost them €1000s in legal fees and travel costs, and an untold amount of stress, for everyone.

The landlords are doing all they can but is there anything that we as the other tenants can do to help stop this nightmare? We do not wish to move out..

    Move

Moving is not an option for any of us, besides that is his aim, to make life so difficult for us that we leave (and/or that the landlords sell the house!).

Shouldn't the separate flat have it's own heating and oil supply? That seems to be the main issue concerning you, the rest is none of your business.

Then you'll just have to put up with it tbh

Landlord sounds like they are doing everything they can

How would the fact that he told lies at the RTB tribunal actually trump a valid notice?

Was curious about this as surely both parties have to provide proof of what they are alleging?

Just how nasty are we talking about with the emails and false accusations? Something that the gardai would be interested in?

Have to be honest, apart from the heating oil (which I don't understand why you haven't got any), the other stuff is just emails. Ignore it. Separate the heating source and problem solved.
