    Hi,

Toying with the idea to get my first smart watch. Do a bit of running a couple of days a week and my new S8 is too much to be carrying around, especially in an Otterbox case.

Ive looked at a few options, from MiBand2 (No GPS), Samsung Gear2 (pricey?) And then the usual thick and bulky chinese ones for 30/40 euro (aesthetically unpleasing).

I do like the fitbits but i would like one with maybe interchangable straps that I could wear with normal clothes, not just during exercise.

Really like the Gear 2 Classic (?) but not sure if its too much to be spending on a first watch.

Battery life 2/3 days is fine. Dont really care about message notifications or whatever, phone is always nearby.

Good App syncing would be great, e.g doing a run as the watch stores the info, then sync with phone afterwards, can see where/how long i ran through the app on phone etc.

Not sure how much to spend. Ideally the lower the better, i was thinking around 100 or so but could go higher if was worth it. I see the Gear 2s for around 160?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!
    :)

I picked up the Garmin Vivoactive on black Friday for £99 a couple of years ago, and there still hasn't been anything come out that has swayed me away from it. It's tough getting a watch that has the right combination of battery life and functionality, while not looking out of place when going for a run or as a watch in day-to-day life.

if it is just for tracking running, what about the withings (now nokia) activite pop or activite steel? looks exactly like a normal watch and great battery life.

I got a polar M200 last week, haven't went running with it yet but I've used it multiple times for squash and circuit training. The heart rate monitor works really well and it gives a good detailed report afterwards and you can have up to 20 sport profiles on it at any one time.

The polar flow app that goes with it is brilliant. I received it Monday last week and had to plug it in to set it up but haven't charged it since and I wear it all the time. I got it in littlewoods for €169 but it's available cheaper elsewhere.
