While reading the new housing plans for clonburris I've noticed they plan on changing route 40 to head south on the fonthill road past clondalkin/fonthill station and onto grange castle.

That would make the route worse than it is surely. It already is an extremely long route. Some of these network direct conceptions such as this are a little riddiculous with long running times, causing bunching it also serves many housing estates at both ends of the route so its not like its on QBC meaning its relatively quick in and out.

Route extensions seem to be the general quick fix of public transport in this country when sometimes what is needed are all new routes. Hopefully developments like these are completed post Bus Connects so proper public transport solutions can be put in place.
