Just saw this today and if you are interested in local history it is worth a browse! The Duchas project is trying to digitise the Irish folklore collection, which now includes an attempt to transcribe (which you can volunteer to do online) copybooks from schoolchildren from schools all around the country.

I don't see any schools from Greystones transcribed as yet, but there are a couple from the surrounding area that make for very interesting reading, this one from Kilcoole, another from Newcastle and there are plenty more not yet transcribed.

A great insight into living in the area nearly 80 years ago.

This is such a treasure. The Kilcoole record really added to our written local history.
