Garda vetting with shoplifting case?

I am applying for jobs at airport and seems all jobs there need a garda vetting....

Only thing i have done it was few years back, 3/5 years ago. I was caught shoplifting at penneys something valued under 5 euros. Two garda came over and took all my details, name, phone, adress, they checked my id too, i cant remember if they took pic or anything of my id. I wasnt taken to the garda station, they took my details and so on at penneys premises. They let me go and i was told their boss will get in touch with me, however none got in touch since..... I have also changed my address since then and probably phone number too.

I wonder will that shoplifting case show on my garda vetting sheets that i would have to provide to any future employer that request me garda vetting?

Apply for the job anyway. If it gets brought up at interview you have the chance to talk your way out of it.

If the Gardai weren't involved it can't be on PULSE.

If you weren't arrested or convicted, it's not an issue.

I think you will be fine. Sounds like you learned your lesson and that is the most important thing.

Unless you were convicted of a crime I doubt it will be an issue

Yes, what a big mistake, only for that embarrassing moment wouldnt ever do it again!
