Dodgy satellite cable or LNB port?

I have a cable running from my Octo LNB to a Ferguson Ariva box. Recently the signal keeps dropping. Sometimes when I fiddle about with it (disconnect/re-connect) it sorts it ... but only for a while. Last time the signal dropped, I stuck the cable in a sky box and it couldn't detect a signal ... so it isn't the box that's the problem.

Any ideas as to whether its a dodgy cable or a dodgy port on the LNB?

I had a similar problem. A squirt of WD40 on the connector made a large difference.

Dodgy connection to cable, I'd remake the connections.

Rework each connector. The WD40 makes it easier to tighten the connectors up.
