If AGS are looking for a court case adjournment, can the defendant object?

Yes but are 99.9% certain to get it adjourned anyway.

Depends on the reason for the adjournment, the number of adjournments previously given (if any) and other matters.

But, yeah, if this is the first time the prosecution have sought an adjournment, they'll almost certainly get it. If it were the fifteenth time, now . . .

Went to the court and had the case struck off. I had my motoring documents with me and also proof that I had produced documents at local Garda station who must have had "a clerical or system error".

On the subject, could someone appeal the adjournment? Or does their have to be an interim order in place to be appealed?

You can appeal an adjournment if you can show it's prejudiced your rights in some way.

Most adjournments are a matter of course, though, so it's difficult to establish. But like any order, it's appealable.
