Effective air vent for bathroom: recommendations?

I've a heightened sense of awareness of scents so I'd like to get a vent for the bathroom which actually works - there is a ridiculous number of bathroom vents that make noise and do little to remove smells. They really are hopeless.

Could somebody please tell me the name of a vent that would be effective at removing smells efficiently (the bathrooms in question have no windows, which makes the vent more important)? Technically, what details should I be googling to get such a vent? Also, is a better smell extractor/air vent implicitly going to be noisier? Could you name ones that are very good extractors but reasonably quiet? Thanks.
