Childhood sexual abuse

    Hi,

I experienced sexual abuse as a child. I am a female in my 30s.

I am an adult now and I never dealt with what happened to me. It is eating me up and it has held me back in my life. I am only beginning to face it now, I am very nervous about telling an outside organisation what happened to me.

I have done an internet search about the various supports and numbers available. I'm a bit lost as to where to start...I saw the HSE, One in 4, Cari, Rape Crisis centre.....

Does anyone here have any recommendations about which organisation they found good, understanding and helpful etc.?

I am also looking for a discreet and confidential service, I am worried that if this was to be public knowledge, it could impact on my career and that I will be judged.

Is it possible to get counselling anonymously?

    Thanks.
