    Hi all,

I need an opinion on water repellents/sealers. We have an issue with dampness in the corner of a room (1 outer wall is 6" on flat and the other is 6" on flat with a later 4" on edge built up outside). The plaster in the area is clearly porous. A neighbour use Sovereign Stone Sealer on his stone walls with great effect but I couldn't find it in the builders providers yesterday. I have found Thompson's one coat water seal and Sika Water Repel+. Anyone used these? I need something I can put on over old paint and that will allow the wall to breath. The builders providers were pushing Thompson's, but is there a reason it's 1/3 the price of Sika?
    Regards,
    Dave
