All-round mid-range Dell Inspiron

    Thinking of investing in this for overall home/home office use:

    Am still using an Inspiron 1300 for basic browsing & email that I bought in September 2006 so decided I would stick with them.

    Don't need high-end functionality, have done a bit of research and still can't really figure out the difference between the mid-range Latitudes and the mid-range Inspirons.

    From others' experience - is there any value in waiting for something like Black Friday to try to get this for anything better than 6 ton?
