Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I was hoping to get some feedback on some of the following secondary schools. My son is due to start secondary school in 2020 and I know places are starting to be offered already for some schools.
Out of the following schools which would u recommend? - Clonkeen, Delle la Salle in Churchtown Ballinteer community school or the new Educate together in Stepaside?
I really appreciate any small insight anyone might have - Tks.

You're unlikely to find someone who has children in all three and can make a fair comparison.

If you look on the Department Inspection website, you can read inspection reports. Once you've read a couple, you see how to read between the lines.

    Clonkeen College
    De la Salle Churchtown
    Ballinteer Community School

Since the Educate Together is new, it doesn't have any inspection reports.

By far the most important factor in whether a child does well in school will be the home environment and attitude to education.

An active parent association in a school is a good sign.
I would choose an Educate Together, but that's a personal choice.
