I got an email a few days ago advertising the position of 'Chief Hydrometeorlogist' So it looks like it's going ahead, I wonder how many more jobs will be advertised in the next year?

I got an email a few days ago advertising the position of 'Chief Hydrometeorlogist'

The Chief Hydrometeorologist will be responsible for leading the establishment of the Flood Forecasting Centre. S/he will be responsible for managing its 24/7 operation, leading flood forecasting developments and will be a member of Met Éireann’s senior management team.
