Exporting previously registered UK car from ROI to trade

    Hi

    Last year I bought a car in the UK imported to ROI and paid the VRT. Now I'm thinking of trading it back in the UK as I purchase a new car.

    What's the situation with the export, does it have to be re registered in the UK or can I stick on the old plates?

    I'm also going to claim back the VRT, anyone an idea how long this takes?
