    Hi
I have a set of 19" alloys (tyre size 235/35ZR19)on my 20011 VW Passat, one of them has a crack on them and I tried to get it welded but it will not seal.
Question 1: Anyone know were I could go to get one new/2nd had alloy in dublin
Question 2 : anyone know of a good place to  this welded/repaired, in Dublin area (I live in Dublin 15). The guy who looked at it said he can not fix it but I could try somewhere different

I'd check and make sure they are 100% not reps and then if not I'd be browsing donedeal and adverts for another genuine wheel. Repairs in my experience can be a mixed bag, best off with a new wheel

Thanks for this, I was told when I bought the car they were genuine, how would I make sure that they are genuine, would it say somewhere on the wheels?

Take them off and look at the back of the spokes they will be made by ronal and have vw part numbers stamped into them and possibly vw logo, will say ronal for sure though if genuine

Straightening an alloy wheel is a bit dodgy. Welding it is a big no-no...
    Check your local breakers yards...

Donedeal, ebay or vw forums will be your best bet. VW rims like that don't last long in breakers yards unless they are beyond making money from.

If you want genuine eBay.de is probably your best bet. Not going to be cheap though.
